INTRODUCTION
MidWest Polymer & Extrusion Assoc., Inc. (MWP) was established in 1995 as a Manufacturers Representative organization serving the Midwest geographic area. Additionally, MWP provides technical services for the National and Worldwide Extrusion Industry including; Turnkey Systems for Tubing, Profile and Pipe Extrusion, Die and Tooling Design, Custom Equipment, and Technical Consultation for Product and Process Development.
MWP is unique in that we can offer a complete range of top quality equipment components that when put together, provide our customers a working solution to achieve their extrusion goals. Professional Profile
· 25 years in the plastics extrusion industry, national and international.
· Layout, development, presentation, and sale of auxiliary extrusion components and systems.
· Specifying/developing Single and Twin Screw Extruders for the extrusion process.
· Hands-On knowledge for most extrusion processes, engineering and proposal development:
o Medical Profiles: mono and multi lumen, mono/multi layer, bump and bubble tubing.
o Industrial Pipe/Profile: up to 12" pipe, mono/multi wall, intricate profiles, co-extrusion, reinforced tubing/hose, foam, and mono/multi filament processing.
· Strong knowledge and understanding of auxiliary processing equipment, a brief reference:
o Material Handling Systems; drying, conveying, weigh blending, multi component.
o Chill/Temper water conditioning
o Electronics: Temperature Controls, transducers, heaters, gauging OD/ID/Wall, sheet/profile, microprocessor, data aquisition.
o Processing Aids: melt pumps, screen changers, static mixers, ovens, granulators, and magnets.
o Downstream equipment, vacuum, calibration, water quench, pullers, cutters, coiling, conveying
o Sheet, cast, blown film, process and takeoff equipment
o Dies: Inline, crosshead, profile, sheet, film, strand/filament, pelletizing, co-extrusion.
o Strong ability to work with customers to develop and fulfil their process goals.
o Continuously updating professional knowledge and skills through independent pursuit of education, extensive networking, and customer contacts.
